Day 20 of the 45 Day Paleo Challenge
Dear Sweet weekend!! Oh, how I have missed you. My kids actually took care of the dogs this morning and let me sleep in… whaaaaaat?!?! As awesome as sleeping in was — it threw off my whole schedule of eating.
I tried the supplement drink and shakes again — nope still can’t get over the smell. The smell alone is making me dry heave — how am I supposed to SWALLOW it?!
Breakfast: homemade smoothie (didn’t eat until 10am-ish)
Snack: Still full from having smoothie so late in day
Lunch: tomato and trailmix
Snack: Zuchinni Boats filled with ground bison, celery, squash, cabbage, and bacon.
Dinner: Other 1/2 of banana — still full from boats.
The kids asked to tried my shakes… SURE!!
Teen: smelled it and gagged. Then proceeded to dry heave.
Drama King: smelled it and said that smells nasty but tried it anyway. Then he spit it out while gagging into the kitchen sink.
Instigator: smelled and said — THAT’s A STRONG SCENT!! (I giggled). Only liked it “a little”.
The baby: liked it.
I told all the kids — “SEE, even the baby likes it.” They said, “But he is like “Mikey” he’ll eat anything.”
Best Friend: came over to eat dinner with us. She helped pick/do dishes while I got kids ready for bed. She couldn’t even clean out the cup I mixed the shake in (and had rinsed out earlier). She was dry heaving doing dishes. (I was laughing so hard, I could barely stand-up — other people dry heaving is hysterical. Fucking riot.).
Just goes to show that a company’s products will not fit everyone’s tastes.
No workout — it’s the weekend. I DO NOT workout on the weekends. That is my rule. And one I intend to keep.
My breakfast smoothie was awesome. Slightly tart and tangy.
Ingredients: Coconut water, 1/2 scoop Mila chia seed, 1/2 banana, apple, frozen chopped spinach, kiwi, and Tablespoon of leftover crushed pineapples.
